A Wasted Weekend

by The Editor

Someone was supposed to come and check the pressure in the Waltz’s shower, but nothing happened. Friday was already three days after Jill had reported the incident, and the shit was still bubbling up from the drain Saturday. Stinking. Too much. On Sunday morning when Gerald was normally taking his mid-day bath. Impossible, and where is help, when you need it the most? And where is decency when the weekend is all you have? Plumbing. Getting rid of the waste. Should be a no-brainer in our little community. But not so. The stuff floating everywhere for months, every year, for ten years. What do we need to do to be free of this? The young and old, women and men. Powers that are, if you cannot take our daily waste away, what can you do?

Ina Cho, of East Wilton, maintained last night she had seen vans, even trucks full of drainage-equipment roll out of town, and where? She saw them driving west toward the ring-road, but was unable to say where they went exactly, once they got that far. “On the ring-road you can go where you want,” she said, and maintained that she had felt a “little lost” at pinpointing where the whole thing was headed. Was it worth reporting? It didn’t really strike her as such until this morning, when she saw a notice on this web-site. And that’s when she called us and we met Ina and got her story. This little situation in our little community. Waste everywhere and no way of getting rid of it.
